How It Works
NAMITEC engine oil additive is developed from a proprietary formula and production process to maximise the performance of high purity graphene.
Unlike conventional additive products, NAMITEC is specifically formulated to be extemely low in dosage (15ml to 4L of engine oil) for maximum compatibility with different types of engine oil.
NAMITEC can easily enter the friction interfaces of an engine due to its nanoparticle size and sheet structure characteristics.
A low shear resistance protective layer (tribofilm) is formed on the sliding surfaces to prevent the two friction surfaces from direct mechanical contact, thereby reducing wear and friction.
Heat transfer performance is improved at the same time due to the ultra-thermal conductivity characteristics of high purity graphene.

The 4-Ball wear (ASTM D4172) test is a technical standard published by American Society for Testing and Materials. It is used to determine the relative wear preventive properties of lubricating fluids in sliding steel-on-steel contact under the prescribed test conditions.
Three (12.7mm diameter) steel balls are clamped together and covered with the lubricant to be evaluated. A fourth steel ball, referred to as the top ball, is pressed with a force of 40 kgf (392 N) into the cavity formed by the three clamped balls for a three-point contact. The temperature of the lubricating specimen is regulated at 75°C and the top ball is rotated at 1200 rpm for 60 minutes.
Results are compared by using the average size of the scar diameters worn on the three lower clamped balls. The size of the scar (the smaller the better) indicates the level of wear protection the lubricant provides. Co-efficient of friction is measured at the same time.

Graphene by itself is insoluble. (ie. It does not dissolve in liquid.)
The working principles of NAMITEC is solid lubrication. Well dispersed high-performance graphene (ultra-low thickness of 1nm) enter tribo-interfaces easily and form a tribol protective layer film.
Low shear strength of graphene enables a lower co-efficient of friction, allowing moving parts to slide past each other more easily while high mechanical strength offers wear and tear protection at the same time.
NAMITEC is formulated with the fundamental principle to minimise changes in the characteristics of the users’ engine oil. The basic formulation consists of minimal chemical additive elements. This is one of the core reasons why our dosage is so low.
NAMITEC formulation does not seek to alter any of your engine oil parameters such as viscosity, forming and rate of oxidation. A good rule of thumb is to use a good engine oil with NAMITEC.
NAMITEC uses high purity graphene which are antioxidant by nature. Graphene by itself does not contain and release oxygen which facilitate the oxidation process in the formation of sludge.
In-house engine oil filter analysis revealed no graphene content caught in the filter. (ie. Graphene does not agglomerate into bigger particles and get caught in the filter.)
Lastly, high quality graphene will not break down easily. As an example, it will take approx. 700-800 Degree Celsius of heat to break down the properties of our graphene.
Most of NAMITEC would be ejected during oil change.
Graphene has a very stable structure. It will not react and bond with other chemical groups easily. Graphene will fill the micro-gaps of the engine wall during the engine oil circulation process and will not bond to the engine wall.
